It's funny -- I've never been a fan of American Idol, yet, for whatever reason, I found myself watching along this season. I'm not overly into it or anything, but I was glad to see David Cook win last night. He's a rocker (represent!) and left-handed. So I got a little dorked out. Besides, he just seems like a genuinely nice guy. It was nice to see someone like that, with talent no less, win. Not that David Archuleta wasn't a good singer, but he's only good for the sappy ballads and love songs. And he also looks like a twelve year old boy. Anyway!

Enough American Idol talk. Can I just say that there's this guy that found me online that also goes to Davis and he won't leave me alone! Everytime I come online he's like, "Hey!" Why can't guys get the picture when you ignore them for days on end? It's stupid.

Life is good, though. I just finished my last midterm of the quarter yesterday; I worked out for the first time in a few weeks; and my neck/shoulder is almost better. (On Monday, I woke up and could not move my head around due to an enormous amount of pain I had in my neck/left shoulder/upper back. Not fun.) Can't really complain. Now if only I could come up with some plans for this weekend, then that would be wonderful.

Random question: Are there any singers/bands that you feel sound better live than on their CDs?

As I was looking around for new music online, I heard a song by Scarlett Johansson and found another song entitled "Google Me." Really? Scarlett, you need to stick to acting. And whoever you are singing about Google, find something better to reference.

If you want better music, I suggest "We Made It" by Busta Rhymes feat. Linkin Park. Mike's verse is better than Busta's in my opinion, but what can you do?

I just finished watching "Atonement." I can't even begin to process that movie. Even though it's a fictional story, I feel incredibly hollow inside. The fact that one person has the capability to ruin someone's life, multiple lives, by the choices that they make is absolutely incomprehensible. No matter how big or small, the things we do (or don't do), the things we say (or don't say) have an impact.

I want to make a difference. I want to be remembered for making a positive impact on people's lives. I refuse to be the person who does nothing, who lets life pass her by, who dreams of what could have been, who swims in a sea of regrets.

I will not be that person.

Just got back from the last show of the Linkin Park tour here in Sacramento. It was definitely just what I needed. Unfortunately, I now have to get back to work and will probably stay up most, if not all, night finishing up some schoolwork that's due tomorrow. I'll update later about the amazingness of the evening. Once I actually have a moment to breathe, that is.
